    Tiger Maple Bowl

Or curly, if you want to call it that. I made this for the school auction coming up and thought Tiger might make it more attractive around here...

Nice to finally get to do a little turning.

This was one of those Rockler bowl blanks I picked up awhile back. Made it footless and a bit steeper curve on the sides to maximize the volume the bowl can hold. Its about 2.25 x 7.25.

5 coats of General Finishes Salad Bowl.

    Nicely done.

    I like it.

I bought a couple of those blanks too, looks like I should have bought some more when my local Rockler closed and had em at 40% off DOH!

Love the wood! Nice bowl, simple form, great finish - should raise a lot of money for the school! Nice work!

Nice job Gary. I hope it goes for a high price at the auction. I picked up a few of those round Rockler blanks also and some really had great figure - well worth the $7.50/BF

Beautiful wood, beautiful bowls. They would really go good where I work. Lawrenceburg Tigers!
