    Jointer Alignment Information

Here is link to one of the best reference tables on causes and results of jointer misalignment I've seen.

    http://home.usmo.com/~rfwoodworking/jointer.html

This topic regularly reoccurs, even for experienced users, this is handy as a quick reference guide.

I agree it's it a good link, well thought out and executed but there is something one should pay close attenion to is the last two items are the most common causes of problems...knife height in relation to the outfeed table. The first three are the ones to look for if the last two don't solve the problem and require a straight edge to verify. I've been tuning and rebuilding machines professionally and follow these procedures. Unfortunately for a novice it's listed in a non-logical progression which is probably confusing to most folks.
