    Aluminum Business Card Jig

Here's a good jig I made last week for a huge run of business cards - might save you some time and hassel if you need to make some in the future.

Jig is made from (2) pieces of acrylic 24 X 18 sheets from Home Depot. Sized for a Epilog Helix machine, but could be adapted for whatever you wish.

You'll see 2 files 1 for the top and 1 for the bottom layer of the jig.

The botom layer has (2) hole sizes in it - the (42) large holes are to poke your finger through to get the cards out without damaging them, and the (5) small holes are .25 in diameter and serve as jig alignment holes for the top layer of the jig.

The top layer has (5) .25 jig alignment holes to index with the bottom layer. It also has (42) 3.503 X 2.003 rectangles with .25 radius edges to match with commonly sold aluminum business cards.

To assemble the jig, spray the reverse side of the top layer with aresol adhesive from home depot (or other) and place on the bottom layer, using ball point pens or .25 drill bits to allign the index holes together. This will make for a very accurate index and a good long lasting jig.

Thanx Tom. Yep - a good reliable jig will pay for itself quickly in time saved and material not wasted.

Stanley, I posted them in X4 without thinking. I'll go save them in an earlier version.
