    Switch for vacuum & sander

Quite a while back, someone made a post about a Craftsman switch purchased through Sears... basically you could plug the vacuum and sander into so when you turned the sander on, the vacuum would come on too (poor tom's version of the festool set up).

I've searched this site and the Craftsman, and for the life of me, can't find what I'm looking for. Anyone know the details, or another aftermarket job that would do the same?

Go with the Sears one. they are about $20.00 and have two outlets for tools plus a switch to bypass the auto part.

    Sears rant

Don't do like I did and check the availability of it at your local store online. It said they were in stock there and when I got there they had no idea what I was talking about. I went back home printed off the picture and details and then took that back and ended up stumping 3 clerks and I left in frustration.

These work great and are also available from Woodcraft (http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=5855). I just wish it had a switch to turn the vacuum on without turning on the tool (like the Fein shop vac has). To use just the vacuum, you have to unplug it from the switched outlet and into a normal outlet.
