That is beautiful Jerry. Love the way the wood used accents it.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.
Thats cool looking.
So the pewter bell part is not a Kit and you start with a flat piece?
Remember, you are NOT your post count.

Yes, I started with a flat 3" disk (1/32" thick). Thanks
Very nice ornament Jerry.

Turning comes easy to some folks .... wish I was one of them

Undeniably beautiful..But what really grabbed my interest was the words "rose engine."I have done extensive reseach on rose engines and other than the prohibitive cost it seems a steep learning curve.Could you elaborate a bit on it (the rose engine of course and how you got involved in that aspect of turning.Did you construct your own? Did you get training or see one in person to learn before you jumped in?)
I built my own, and I'm self taught. I had no prior exposure, I ran accross the topic a couple of years ago and just jumped in. Here is a link to our group that should be helpful. Thanks
