    Source for cut engravers brass

I have a customer asked for a rotary engraved brass plate (several of them). I haven't bought any thicker brass to engrave, so I'm drawing a blank on sourcing it.

Something like 1/8". I think the size was 18" x 5" on all of them.

Anyone know a source for this material?

Lots of sources.... Alaskan brass is one of them, Copper & Brass Sales, Inc. is another. Call sheet metal suppliers, they will be able to tell you where to go. The stuff is really expensive, though. New Hermes used to sell .050 lacquered brass.

I'm looking for someone who can engrave a piece of brass. I'm specifically looking for :

1/8" thick, 1" x 3" with 3 lines of text. It needs to be highly polished and the lettering filled with black paint. 1 piece.

Anyone out there who's interested in doing this? I don't have the right cutter for my rotary engraver and I use it so little, I'd prefer not to buy the cutter to do a 1 piece job.

Has to be engraved and color filled as per customer's request.
