    Grizzly G0513 Bandsaw Replacement Tire?

While tuning up my 513 the top tire came loose and is now, well, no longer, um, round.

    I am having a tough time finding a replacement. I can't seem to find a 17" tire. I find 16" and 18" but no 17" ???

Anyone have an idea where I can find a replacement tire for my Grizzly 513 Bandsaw?

(I live north of Orlando, Fl.)

    Thanks in advance!

    Kevin

  2. Call Grizly, they have the replacement parts for their models. I found them to be no more expensive than other suppliers. If you have the part number it will expidite the call. You can look up the part number on their web site. All you need is the model number.

    Kevin,

Yes do call grizzly. I replaced mine last year and the parts girls looked up the part number while on the phone. Plus I had them in a couple days.

I can do that - thanks guys. I even know the part number from the manual.

However, I was wondering (hoping) that there was a 3rd party replacement option - Woodcraft, Amazon, etc. I could try.

Sounds like there isn't one. Or is there?

If not -> Note to others looking to buy a 17" bandsaw - your replacement tire options are limited to OEM.

    Follow up...

I received the replacement tire from Grizzly - part number P0513026.

I ordered two of them (spare) as they were only $10.50 each.

These are gray in color as opposed to the yellow tires that came with the bandsaw.

Since this is my first bandsaw I didn't know that you needed to stretch out a new tire by putting it in boiling water for 10min.

    Procedure:
Boil water (crossing over to wife’s territory - be careful)
    Turn off burner
    Put tire in
    Wait 10min
Quickly put tire on wheel - still tight but works

Hope this helps someone down the line...

But I might be on the crap list for bring anything from the shop and putting it in a pot on the stove...
