    Miter saw measuring system

I am looking to buy something for my miter saw in the shop so I can get accurate cuts without measuring all the time. I am looking for some advice as to some brands or systems that are good. Thanks folks!

If you've built a station or stand for your MS with extension fences, the Kreg TopTrack system is excellent. Very rugged and accurate. I just put one on mine a couple of weeks ago and it installed without a hitch.

I am not sure about budget, never thought about it, probably $500 max, I was looking at the proscale website, but that is probably more than I need. I was hoping there was something that came with the fences also.

No reason you can't build a decent fence and attach a scale. If you build the fence and stop block first you can attach the tape to read accurately.

If you are looking commercial the Kreg fence is probably my first choice if I was buying.

Have you checked the "consumer" version made by the proscale people? http://www.digi-kit.com/digistop.htm

I have their digital tablesaw scale, and it's very nice.
