    IMHO, Phil's baffle is a MUST, not an option, when using the Wynn cartridge. Otherwise the clogging will be terrible and a flapper will not remedy it. Also you don't need a neutral vane. Refer to previous posts regarding its installation.

    i made the baffle and what a difference, thanks for the advice.

    i sanded about 3 - 20"x48" red oak boards and took about 1/32" off on my woodmaster sander, i checked the sawdust fallout on the doughnut after using the flappers. then made the baffle and then sanded another 1/32" off and this time there was about 1/2 as much sawdust on the doughnut...

    maybe next week i will try the neutral vane to see if that will make another bid difference...
