New lathe thanks to woodworking class

I took a woodturning class at my local woodcraft last week. After the class and after reviewing all your advise last week over which lathe....I went with the Rikon...Here is my gloat and My first something I turned on it. My wife says it is a table leg....I think it is just plain fun on the lathe. BTW I had to show it with some chips on it...No tool should be without dust. Back to turning. Again thanks for all the advise.

Congrats on the lathe Scott. I to have the Rikon and love it. I got the bed extension so I could move the tailstock out of the road when not needed. I hated taking it off.

What Russ said. If your sweetie says it's a table leg, let it BE a table leg and turn some more. Happy "New Lathe"! It could be an annual holiday, New Lathe Day.

Congrats Scott! As the Official SMC Minister of Bonkers.....I identify that as an elongated double knotted bonker and pronounce you a turner!
