    Please share Wedding favor Ideas?

    Hello,

I have a request for inexpensive wedding favors. I know I can buy stuff and laser like small frames, coasters, keytags & cork screws. But does anyone have any thing they have made from scratch (like wood cut stuff)or any other ideas?

Hi Jackie, when's the wedding? I've done acrylic ornaments for a Christmas-themed wedding. Maybe something similar, but sold as a "sun-catcher" instead?

Thanks Vicky. The wedding is Memorial day weekend. I haven't done anything in acrylic yet but that sounds like a good/nice idea. Did you use 1/8" thick?

    Jackie,

Try engraving the wedding announcement on mirror. Engrave the back side which removes the silver then place your favorite color matboard behind the mirror. The recipient can change the color of the engraving any time by simply replacing the matboard behind the mirror.

Looks like a million bucks and costs very little if you purchase inexpensive mirror and frames from Wally World. For the bride and groom use a higher quality frame and engraved mat if that is your preference.

Hit your local 'pound shop' and see what they've got in that can be burned. Our one does cheap wooden boxes (€1, unvarnished, so you have to remember varnish in the final price), little hand mirrors that can be dissassembled, burned and reassembled (€2) and cheapo glass photo frames that you can spray the back of with car paint and burn your design into the paint (€0.75). The possibilities are nearly infinite.

If you're lucky, you can find a finished product that you can get for pennies, and then 'add value' by customising it.

Yup, 1/8" that I picked up at my local borg.

You could etch votive candle holders with the wedding info on it... you can get them from Wal-Mart for about $.50 each.

I saw these great cupcake wrappers - seems like a wedding is the perfect place for them! And this site has great favor boxes: http://www.paperorchidstationery.com...php/nav_id/990
