    12 foot Maple Built in

My latest project out here on Vashon Island. Its a 12 foot Eastern Maple Built in with Traiditional Pecan Stain (Dalys benite applied before stain) an Lacquer spray finish.
Wine rack in middle, glass doors and shelves with plate lips on shelves and lighting above shelves.
Unit is only 15 inches deep. Doors had beading on inside frame and the doors themselves had a bead and cove rmolding applied over the frame and panel.

Very nice, Craig. Never seen the effect of pecan stain on maple, but now I now what it looks like. Came out well.

Wine rack was a nice touch. How long did it take you?

    THANKS

I dont add my hours up since I work for myself. I think if I was to work 40hrs a week it would of taken 2.5 weeks. Took 8 hours to install. Took maybe 4 to stain it.The doors taking the longest, there inset as well as making all the beading.
Wine rack didint take long.I have about 500 bd ft of eastern maple thats all 2 to 3 inches wide planed on both sides to 7/8 and jointed 1 edge. I pay $1 bd ft for it. Its great for face frames, draw sides, door stiles and rails. All pieces are either 48 or 36 long only. I even use it for paint grade, I cant get anything cheaper.

Oh, good golly is that way cool. I just hope my wife never starts lurking here. If she saw that, she'd want one in every room. She can never get enough shelving, cabinets or bookcases.

    nice color

love the color...it is such a large unit that if it were dark and the room small it would overwhelm the area...it is a very fresh looking piece... in the middle is that for a flat screen tv or something else???? great job...

The middle originally was going to be granite. I told her cost she changed it to wood an then she said it would of looked too much like a bar anyways. I think she might hang some art and put some crap on top. Essentially its a giant hutch with a wine rack. Opposite of it is the formal dining room.

    Thanks

The beading came out very nice. Looks great with the maple. Makes me want to try beading on my next project that has doors. Excellent design.

Very nice bud, the wine rack is a nice touch.

Just out of curiosity, how much does a job like that go for in your neck of the woods?
