    1964 Chevy Bedwood Finish

    Afternoon all

This post is on behalf of my brother in law. He is nearing the end of his restoration of his '64, and he ordered the bedwood kit, he opted for the southern yellow pine instead of white oak due to price constraints. The truck will be stored in a garage. He said he would like to darken the wood a little, and is looking for a good, durable finish. I have never worked with SYP. so I told him I would ask the fine folks here for some ideas.

I appreciate any input you may have.

When I put the bedwood in my 55 I just used marine spar varnish.
