    Pine Vase

Turned this vase from a pine tree I cut down. It was very wet when turned. One of my favorite turnings. Eleven inches high and used poly to seal and finish. Mitch

Good looking vase Mitchell. Well done. I quit turning pine especially wet pine after the first 14" bowl. It took me over a hour to get the pitch off my tools and lathe.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

Thanks again Bern and I understand what you mean about cleaning up the pitch.I got some in my hair once and it was terrible to clean up. Did you post the picture of the 14" vase you said you turned? I would love to see it Bern. Mitch
