Hello,

I found this forum via a google search for paint sprayers. I found the following thread:

and found the discussion there very interesting and seemingly well-informed. Now that a couple of years have passed, I'm wondering what people's views are now on the state of the art in paint spraying.

I am a beginning property manager, and plan to be remodeling places periodically, and I want to get a paint sprayer to help me with this. I had originally started out thinking that I'd get a Paint Crew. Then I switched to a Paint Crew Plus. Then a Spraytech 1420, and now I'm wondering if it is worth spending the money for a 1620 or even 1720.

My main concerns: I'm going to be doing a lot of indoor painting. Less overspray is a good thing. I'm really only looking at piston pumps. But maybe HVLP would be a better way to go? My immediate need will have me priming and then doing indoor paint. I'm going to be working in a place that has had smokers, so I will probably be using a scent-sealing primer (suggestions are welcome!) and then I've got some nicely thick interior paint that I'll be shoving through the paint sprayer.

I've already done one remodel, and I used an old hand model from wagner that clogged up every 30 seconds or so, and I'm not going to be using it again. Just not worth it.

So, what paint sprayer do you use, and would you buy it again, or would you go with something different?

I've been looking for these things at Gleem..

Are there better places I should be looking? Thanks!
