Problem with New Posts showing up

Since the upgrade I've had a problem with new posts not showing up. When I come to SMC at the main page the latest post in each forum is usually several hours old. If I click on the forum, go to the second page and then come back to the first page all the newer posts will show up. Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks

    Dean

    Yep

    Guys -

Just noticed the same thing myself. Opened the main page today and only the FPP forum showed new posts. When I came back to the main page from the Pen forum, there were the new posts.

Check the thread started by Howard called "How the heck do I..." It might afford the solution if your issue is similar.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one to have this problem. I checked Aaron's response to Howard and checked under my options but they are set correctly according to the directions.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

Sounds to me like you're getting a cached version of the Main Page.

    Solution 1
Use the 'New Posts' link, on the blue bar at the top of the screen. It will always be up to date--this is the recommended way of viewing SawmillCreek.

    Solution 2
Try holding down CTRL, then clicking Refresh on your browser. This will force your browser to requery the server for the page.

I will check to see if the NO-CACHE header is being properly sent. (What tells your browser not to cache dynamic content).

Aaron, option #2 seems to work, but when I first come to the site none of the forums are showing the current posts. Usually show the latest post as sometime the previous day.

Did you make a change Aaron? Seems to be working normally now.

    Dean,

No, I couldn't get it to function incorrectly, so I didn't make a change.
It seems to be working fine for me, too.
