    Canasta Card Holder Plans

Before his passing, my grandfather had given me a playing card holder that he had made. After his passing, my grandmother gave me free reign of his workshop. One of the items I came away with was a box full of already cut parts for what he called a canasta holder (what he wrote on the outside of the box). I also came away with several years worth (small filling cabinet full) of Woodsmith, Fine Woodworking, and Woodworkers Journal. I have thumbed through most of the magazines looking for the plans he used with no luck thus far.

Does anyone recall what issue the plans would have been in or where I might be able to find more info on them?

I also obtained a jig that looks like it was made for the holder but I want to make sure I am using it correctly.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

Were you ever able to find this information?
