    segmented vase

    This one is walnut and oak. Measures 5 1/2 x 9. Shellawax finish. The top is inked. Thanks for looking.

    Awesome

    That is great Mike. You really made the shape fit the segments so the design came out just right. Looks like some planning really played off. I like the angled sections on bottom that provide that sort of heart shape.

    Nice work. The form of the HF shows how curved straight lines can be. How did you attach the spout to the HF? Was it turned separately or glued to the segments and then turned?

    Mike - another great piece! Love the optical effect! Great wood choices, finish and photography! The inked lip works for me - draws the eye to yet another circle! Very interesting piece - looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
