    Jackie,
I have some that I made ages ago that are economy plating and various woods. I will send them to you. I have never participated in the Freedom Pens project so if I need to do more than just mail them to the address above, let me know.

are pens still being sent in? I haven't heard much about this program recently. I know Ken S. was passionate about it. I just stumbled across this thread and thought I would ask.

    Joe,

The Freedom Pens Project is alive and well. Although the number of people participaing has decliined we have several loyal groups of pen turners that keep us going. We ship pens to the Middle East weekly but we can't keep up with the demand as requests come in every day from units serving in combat areas.

We sure could use some additional pens turners.

    Getting started

    Jackie,
I am trying to get started with the project and need to know how to order kits and the easiest way to stay in contact with you. I am a high school teacher and will be using the freedom pens project to teach the basics of the lathe and turning techniques. It is my hopes to ship 200-300 kits each year from our Woods classes.
    Thanks,
    Aaron Mayer
