Shop help offered in Chicago Area - I want to learn more.

    Good afternoon everyone!!

I want to learn more about woodworking than what I have picked up through high school shop, educational TV, and working around the house. I want to offer my help to someone in the Northern Chicago area that can use an extra hand once, maybe twice a month on the weekend. Please let me know if you are interested.

    Thanks,

    Dan
A flute without holes, is not a flute. A donut without a hole, is a Danish.

Hi Dan, I think you might like to check out a professional/amateur association by the name Chicago Furniture Designers Association. They have monthly meetings and some of the people do look for apprentices. Also check out the BauHouse website that is also a member of this association. Go to www.cfdainfo.org. There are links to members websites. Some members also give classes. The BauHouse has a school in Forest Park. Hope this helps. Pete
