    Lacquer over oil finish?

    Learning as I am about finishing wood, can someone tell me if it is OK to put a brushing lacquer over teak oil on a cherry wood piece? TIA (thanks in advance), Mike

    I used Boiled Lindseed Oil....make sure it dries for at least the recommended 72 hours.... and Watco Satin Spray Lacquer on this box.... then rubbed on some wax.... Probably the best finish I've ever done.

    I've lacquered over oil, several times....
