    rifle cabinet

    New to the area...
I am new to woodworking but am interested in finding some plans that would help design a rifle cabinet. I have a couple of WW2 rifles plus replica 1800 revolver that I'd like to have locked but displayed. I have found someone near my house who has expressed interest in working with me. I'm on a quest to find some plans that match what's in my head and don't know where to start. Any help is appreciated. An example of what I'm looking for would be a dark wood rifle cabinet that would match the style of a mission bookcase with drawers on the bottom.
I have seen the one on the vintage site and the popular mechanics one. Both of which are nice but would need to be reworked a bit. So if that's what you have done how did you do it?

    Thanks,
    David Wells

Search Google for - gun cabinet - . After the page loads, click on "images" at the top of the page for examples/ideas that match your vision. Also, Google search for - woodworking plans -.

Visit woodworking magazine web sites and also try plansnow.com .

    David,
See this months issue of Wood Magazine...cover project. They listed it for two styles, one of which is a gun cabinet. It may be just what you are looking for or get you off to a start. Here is the link for the 2 minute video:

    Thank you

Thank you for the link to the Wood Magazine article and plans. I think that I will try to combine that one with the vintage article that is floating around out on the net.
