Cabot SPF on deck-Need Feedback Please

A friend of mine used Cabot SPF to cover his deck a few years ago and it is now coming up. Have any of you had experience with this stuff?

The company has asked him to send them a sample of the chips that are coming off so they can analyze them. What should he expect?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I just applied this to my deck several weeks ago. I like the look and I believe the formula I used has a 24 month guarantee against graying. I believe it comes in a 36 month formula too but I don't remember if it's guaranteed not to peel or chip beyond these terms. I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say.
