    Best laid plans...or something

Well I got a lot of work done on the crib Friday and Saturday this past weekend and was feeling pretty good about having it finished by tomorrow or Thursday. Plenty of time....

Then the LOML went in to labor on Sunday.

So baby William Hatch Woodall was born at 1:23pm on Sunday (two weeks early) and I haven't been home for 2 days.

At least I'll be home all week and be able to finish the crib when I'm not needed in the house.

    Later...

Congratulations Papa Wright... Some things are more important than a Uni-saw and you will find out that they require much more maintenance also.. But the reality is that some things are more important than tools could ever be.

Again congrats and wishing the family well...

Congratulations on the new addition to your family!!!

You have plenty of time right now to finish the crib up. Won't need that for a little while at least. Enjoy the time right now because they get big too quickly. I have a 10 month old and it seems like yesterday he was born but he is also getting very big and almost walking around.

I've found a little time to work on the crib the past few days, here is the result.

    IMG_0313 (Large).JPG

All assembly holes drilled, holes and threaded inserts for the springs done. Plug a few holes and a little bit more sanding to do and then I'll be painting!

In the meantime, baby and mama are doing great!

i'm doing a similar design.......though using slats on the ends as well.

can you give me a rough estimate of the total board feet for the crib.

just trying to get an idea.

    thanks.
