You've heard enough good ideas on how to take off the tenon that I'm sure you can make one of them work. But I just wanted to say that's a nice hollowform. What kind of wood is that? It looks like it could be aspen.

Actually, I use a sharp parting tool, and part it off at the tenon. Minimal sanding, and no need to reverse it. Of course, you have to plan a little bit extra thickness to the bottom of the form.

According to history back in 1800's Hawaiian Kou-Cordia Subcordata was almost wiped out by a moth. It is now comming back, They were used to make hawaiian calabash( bowls) and canoes.
