    Mesh Abrasive

Last week at the Pomona Woodworking Show I saw a product that was a mesh like abrasive for ROS. Of course, it is supposed to do a better job of sanding (abraiding) as well as improve dust collection. I can't remember the product name. Anyone have any experience or comments?

    Thanks

I think the name may be "abralon" or some such thing. Jeff Jewitt handles this, and it is great. Bec. of the mesh, the DC is highly efficient, and it does not load, so lasts a very long time. I use it both on a ROS, and on a hand sanding pad (foam, H&L) at the higher grits for between coats in finishing.

I also purchased a sample pack at Pomona last week. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but the idea seems great! The company is Mirka Abrasives, Inc., the product is called Abranet. Their website is www.mirka-usa.com
