    Butcher Block Inlay

I want to dress up a buffet top. It is being made out of mahogany and I wanted to inset a butcher block top with a 4" border. I am concerned with the expantion issue and was wandering if anyone had a suggestion.

The picture I have is a maple butcher block top with the sides ( however wide) and ends from Mahogany.

The side pieces edge jointed and glued to the maple with the ends capped by Mahog' bread-board type table ends.

    Yes?
