Accordion hinge expanding table

Hi, I am a professional woodworker looking for information on an expanding table mechanism I saw once on an antique game table. It was 18 x 36 closed but you could pull on the pair of back legs and the base would expand into a square to support the flipped over leaf with a kind of accordion mechanism. I can't find anything with a google search and wodered if anyone might know where I could look. Thanks...dan

I have seen something like that described as a "Federal card table" or as a "gate leg table". Google image showed me some ideas like that, but I'm not sure that's what you were looking for

Dan, that was a popular way of making game tables in the 1800's. Suggest you take the question to the SAPFM forum. Someone there will have reproduced a table like that and can answer your question.
