    Wall quotes on textured walls

I have a possible client that wants several quotes for her new house. She told me this morning before school that they have textured walls throughout the new house. I told her that I was pretty sure that the quotes would not stick due to the bumps on the walls. Am I correct or is there a way to make them work?

If you use premium vinyl, a hair dryer or heat gun (carefully) and rivet brush will conform it to most wall texture. When I do it I apply the lettering, then heat and brush before removing the transfer tape. I have used this on the sprayed type texture, knock down or orange peel many times. People do it on some of the home shows on cable TV so take advantage of the trend.

Up to about this will work:

This pic is actually stucco, but an interior texture that looks like this, with or without the sand will not accept vinyl well:

She said that it is the same as textured ceilings. Do you think your process will work with the Oracal 631 since it has a lower tack?

That's 3 mil, so it will be harder to conform even with heat. It will come off easier when the time comes. I'd say go there and test it. You should really see the texture before cutting and perhaps wasting the vinyl.
