    Indoor Redwood Project Ideas

All, I'm looking for some good ideas for furniture, nick nacks, cutting boards, cabinets, etc etc utilizing Redwood. I'm having difficulty brainstorming this morning and am just looking for something to build. I have no need, just want to work with redwood some and try it out. I prefer something small as opposed to something like a big Screen TV cabinet or something.

    Cheers,
    Ryan.

  2. A good solid redwood bench pops into my mind. If that is too simple it could be a storage bench.

Ohh good idea. Maybe a chest or something for kids toys... Hrmmm Now the brain stall seems to be moving away. Good idea.

    Ryan

  4. A chest sounds good. I just have this vision of redwood as long-lasting and tough, so anything made out of it (in my mind) is sturdy, simple, and useful as it will last a long time.

Redwood is pretty soft. You can easily dent it with a thumbnail. I'm not saying you shouldn't make furniture with it, but I'd suggest a rustic style.
