    watco danish oil finish question

    I am making small mantel clock for christmas presents. I was thinking of finishing the with the danish oil. will this be enough protection?

    Frankly, oil and wax or even just wax would be enough protection for a project like that. But the Watco is easy to work with and will give the piece a nice glow. No problem.

    Absolutely enough protection. What does a mantle clock do? It sits there, gets dusted periodically, and has the time adjusted twice a year at the beginning and end of daylight savings time. That's not hard use.
