    solution and half price gloat.

well, thanks for all the info. I had decided on a small compressor and nail gun combo until I hit the local Borg. They had the cordless PC w/ the built in compressor on closeout for 149. So it followed me home.

Works pretty well. It's loud, but will shoot about three 2" nails as quick as you can pull the trigger without having to wait for the compressor to catch up. For half price, I figured I couldn't lose.

I have a bit of the same issue. However, I have a large heavy air compressor in my workshop in the basement. I have trim work to do on the 2nd floor. I can see where a small tank would be satisfactory to work for a small job. I have been searching the web for a portable air tank to do the sam job, any ideas?

I just bought the HF 1/3 HP compressor for $40, usually "on sale" for $60, list $80. Works fine and just a little more than the cost of an air tank.
