    Martin, thanks for your input. I'll re-look at changing the drawers. What you suggested makes sense. The leg height should be OK. It's 23 1/2".

    Well, I think I've arrived at a final design. Thank you for all your input and sample drawings. In the end I straied from the original design of the single drop down door and went with the double door design. It was really more practical. I'll use Cherry and start the build in a few months. I'll post pictures of the progress. The final SketchUp Model is available for download on my Website HERE. Thanks again, Ron

    Your final design looks great! I will download it from your website for future reference.

    I am home now (I wasn't before). My drop leaf table is 24" to the rail under the drawers. I have fat thighs, so that is just enough for me. If mine was 23.5 inches, the tops of my thighs would rub the rail. 23.5 will work if you are skinny.

    Let's see if I can remember how to post a pic. This is what I meant by the drawer dividers. Yours look fine, now.

    Ron,

    I agree with Martin. The doors seem more fitting. Very impressive CAD work.
