The stuff I've used in the past is called High-Density Overlay or HDO. This is a good quality plywood with a high-density fiberboard (masonite) layer on each face. Absolutely great stuff. The 3/4" sheets weigh almost 60 pounds and are tough as nails. The brand name I usually buy is called "Highway HDO" and is used for outdoor signage. It comes with either a natural finish (e.g., brown) or with a primer applied to all six surfaces.

I've used the sign grade MDO but not the stuff you bought. I'm assuming the stuff for concrete forms is not as uniform as
MDO. I would return what you have and use melamine board. It is cheaper and better for a router table.
