    Smile Just joined

HI, I membered up a few days ago and thought it was time to show myself.
Depending on who you ask, I'm either a "nice guy" or a "contankerous old......"
Married 30 years and recently relocated from Upstate NY to Eastern PA. I'm maybe a half step ahead of being a ww newbie. I enjoy the good natured bantering and the apparent willingness of the expierenced folks here to share what they've learned.

Since I'm not much on computers (they don't cut wood) I'll mostly sit on the bank and keep reading and learning.

Thanks to the people who make this site available and to all its members for sharing information and humor.

    Welcome Jim

    Jim,
It's a pleasure to welcome you to this great forum. But please don't sit on the bank, we like cantankerous comments! As for me, I'm still one step behind a newbee! But I'll never give up!
    Welcome,
    Dan

Thumbs up Jim - Another Coatesville Creaker

    Go figure.

Welcome to the Creek - this is a great place - I'm pretty much 1 step ahead of being a newbie myself.

We'll have to get together for some coffee or something. I live in Caln Twp. Any time you want to - give me a shout!

    Hi Jim

Welcome. I am new to Sawmill Creek myself and I haven't quite yet figured out the mechanics of it all, but it is a right nice place to talk woodworking. Very friendly. Looking forward to exchanging ideas with you.

    Hey Jim,

Can't tell you how glad I am to see another Jim. So far the place is populated mostly by Howards! Welcome aboard.

    Welcome Jim

I notice my computer time gets restricted to when the family is home and asleep. Can't run any tools then. Perfect to login on to the Saw Mill.

    Welcome

Welcome from another Jim. I'm not certain, but I suspect the Jims may outnumber the Howards now.

    Cool Greetings.

Welcome aboard, Jim! Hope you enjoy your stay here. BTW, the "Jim's" outnumber the "Howards" by almost 4:1!!! Heck, even the "Johns" outnumber the "Howards" by better than 3:1! Sorry Howard, Howard, Howard, Howard, Howard and Howard!

That is why we're here. If it changed, we would be here.

. . . . Oh, but they do. Most of us just can't afford one. Check out the laser woodworking forum.

Here's another new initiate to this forum. I live in Thibodaux, Louisiana, in the middle of Cajun country and we have just barely survived Mardi Gras. I use an old barn for my workshop which is very small. I dig power tools and enjoy the heck out of making sawdust with them. I use a Ryobi BT3000 table saw which I really like, among other tools. It seems I don't feel right if I don't have a project in the planning stage or in construction stage. Once I get to the finishing stage, I lose interest rapidly. I am currently finishisng a mission rocker made with white oak. I enjoy this forum and hope to learn a lot here. Keep throwing out all those tidbits of information and wisdom.
