Some stoppers.

As I said in an earlier post, I have boxes of short pieces of turning stock left from crow calls and from friends giving them to me so I thought stoppers would be a good way to use them and make little money at the same time. This will be my first ones to go out. If they sell well then I will start turning them out in larger numbers. The first two are cocobolo and the next four or dymond wood. I didn't put finish on any of them. The dymond wood and the cocobolo take a nice shine just by buffing them at high speed with an old 6 inch buffing wheel I have mounted on and old 3600 RPM grinder and white diamond compound. The stand is made from a piece of scrap curly maple I had from rounding out a bowl blank.

Thanks everyone. Bill, Here is a pic of a few of my crow calls. I'm one of a handfull of crow call makers that make their on mouth piece. Mike I'm not real sure what the stoppers will sell for. I'm just using scrap wood so my only expense is the stopper. I hope to get at least $18.00 out of each stopper. I will have to wait and see what the shop sells them for.
Thanks again,
Jack

Jack, I think your stoppers should retail for 25 to 30, depending on your market.

Jack those are all beauties. Well done. I get $25 for the walnuts, maples, etc. but $30 for exotics. The last two years at Christmas I have sold over 90 of them. About 45 per Christmas.
