South African Plane

So you got it? I saw it on "da bay" and wondered if it would find an owner who might appreciate its significance. Nice find.

Congratulations Derek!
Perhaps Phillip can find a piece of steel from the homeland to make a blade for you?

Nice snag. Seeing mixed parts on planes does not surprise me at all. It is easy to imagine a worker needing a new blade may have snuck into the supervisor's office and made a trade when no one was looking. There could be a thousand other ways it happened.

Derek, that is such a warm story, and such a great find for you. Amazing how that plane meant nothing to most, but for you, it was a wonderful reminder of your childhood. It was destined to be yours!!
