Last weekend's tool pickups

Hit the flea market last Saturday. Someone was selling his grandfathers stuff. Bought a complete pushdrill and went back a few minutes later because they were still unloading. Found Mr. Stanley Bedrock sitting next to a Sears jack plane looking sad. I adopted him for $30 and said he could go to my shop and play with the other planes after he got cleaned up. Big smiles all around. I felt good for giving the lil' orphan a nice home.

It's a Sweethart era 603. The lateral adjuster is missing and someone had turned a nice walnut knob for the front. I put on an original knob and will use him for awhile before making a decision on replacing the adjuster.

Looks sweet Mark!
What flea market is that? I may have to come up from Beaufort.....that is....if you'll share.

BTW, you didn't waste any time cleaning that puppy up!

Looks nice.
I'd let it play in my shop too.
