a couple maple HF's

I got a new background for my photo's today and had to try it out. The first bowl is from the same slab I posted a bowl from a while back. It is turned end grain and finished with deft. The second is a vase turned from curly maple and also finished with deft. I will put these in the shop tomorrow that is selling my bowls. They've been selling great during our leaf season which draws a lot of tourist in to the area.
Thanks,
Jack

Excellent! Great looking bowl! Very dark coloration! Absolutely love the vase! Great form! All that curl really adds to the piece!

Good thing you have the photos as these two won't last long! Very nice work!

The new background works well!

You really have an eye for form, Jack. You've done justice to that beautiful wood.

And now I have another one of your threads bookmarked for future reference.

Beautiful wood, form, and finish on both. I'd be suprised if they last a week in the store.

Jack,
Thoses are both really great pieces. The form is very interesting flows well on both and you have shown the natural grain and color s good as could be shown. You should be proud of them both.... Well Done!!

Those are both beautiful pieces. For some reason I am partial to the bowl, but really like them both.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Nature did most of the work on both these. I just had let her beauty out of the wood.
Thanks again,
Jack
