Drill Bit Storage.. What Do You Do?

I'd like to see what you all do to store your drill bits.. Anything special?

Driver bits, router bits, both no brainers.. Already have that set up..

So lets see what you got..

Any and all. I like to see what others do before I mess around building drawers, bins, cabinets or whatnot.. No point wasting time doing something only to find a better way later..

My Forstners and bradpoints live in the boxes they come in and then in a drawer. y twist drills live in a divided box with 2 or 3 of each near at hand in an old Ryobi set holder that came from "somewhere". This tray fits in a drawer right near the DP. I'll try to shoot a couple pics when I get home.

Dang... Walt.. That is a huge number of bits.. And is just what I was wondering if someone ever set up something so.. Hmm.. Dramatic..

Don't think I'll have that many bits for quite some time, but does give me some ideas for sure.. Thanks!

I would go with Walt has for everything except the wist drills. Imo the best thing for twist drills, are Huot style cases. They keep the bits from banging off each other, and take up next to no space in the tool chest.

I am glad Walt kicked in. I couldn't remember who had that sweet set up.

I have one of these for letter, number, and fractional drills.
Eventually I'm going to need 'em for metric drills too.

The original

This is a cool old holder from the Alvord Company. Just grab the knob and take it where ever your work is. Found it a while back on E-bay and it goes great with some of my old "cordless" hand drills. Just shows drill storage ideas have been around a long time.
