Final touches to finish
I am finishing up a table currently and am nearing a final rubout stage.
I have never really done a rubout of a finish and had a question on topcoat curing. My finishing schedule was: 2 applications of dye to get to a desired color 1 coat of Amber Shellac Bartley's Gel Varnish/BLO/oil colors as a glaze coat 2 coats of Arm-r-seal sanding in between I am wanting to do a final rubout with wax and steel wool. How long do I need to wait for the Arm-r-seal to cure before I start rubbing out? Thanks, Josh |

30 days for varnish.
Which Arm-r-seal product did you use? It may change my answer.

30 days, or until you can no longr smell the finish when you put your nose right up next to it...
