Milwaukee Jig Saw - Old School

Hey Gang,

My Dad (79 years old) had this in his garage. As near as I can tell this thing has to be pretty old - ***now I know its from the 80s***

Its almost all metal, pretty dense. It starts right up and the variable speed works fine. I cut some plywood with it for awhile to make sure it works. The case is all metal (if that helps anybody date this). I think because of the trigger speed its a 6287 - but that means nothing via google nowadays. Its so old the warranty on it is worded very short. Essentially it says if this tool every fails to perform send it back to us. Wow, the good old days.

I'd be willing to sell this to somebody who would be interested. Its been around forever and will probably last a lot longer than anything you can buy today.

I have no way to value the tool - I'd be interested to see what folks thought it was worth and if anybody wanted to take a stab at buying it.

Thanks,
Mike Rees

PS Oh, there are many blades in the case as well. Some never opened from the packaging.

Wow. The instruction book looks so old to me .... go figure. Okay, so I have a 1982 - maybe that helps my cause or lessens it I don't know.

The saw is a work horse, I installed many counter tops with one like that
great foot was extra strong and flat
just no orbital action

They might have been made in the 70s too
there is a code on the front of the plate lower rt hand corner
a millwaukee service center could date it for you

the manual may have a date on it too

I don't use a jig saw enough to warrant chasing down Milwaukee about it. I just figured someody might appreciate the stoutness of it and might me interested.

I appreciate very much your helping me date it. I'm sure I'll find a use for it at some point if somebody doesn't want it in their shop.
