Freedom Pens mourns the passing of Walter Fanning

It is with sadness that I must report the passing of Walter Fanning. He was a very active pen turner here at the creek, having made over 1500 pens in the last few years. I got an email from his daughter, Susan, that he died on December 5th. She said he was able to continue making pens until June of this year. He was 99 years old and a former Naval Commander in the reserves. His contributions to the program will be greatly missed.

Please join me in keeping his family in your thoughts and prayers.
