With all of the negativity and political stuff going on with the Covid-19 virus it is time to look at the humorous side of things. Feel free to add more, but keep it clean or it will be deleted.
Last Post By: Jim Allen Today, 4:42 PMLooking for a new project to do. I've been spending a few months upgrading the workshop / fixing minor annoyances, and really need to actually build something. I ran across this in a magazine ad. The furniture is supposedly solid teak, though I don't think that will be in the cards for...
Last Post By: Mike King Today, 11:15 AMI'm a hobbyist on a limited budget looking for a bandsaw, primarily for resawing. Let's say, 12" of 8/4 hard maple cut down the middle would be the maximum I would ever ask of it. I'm under the impression that I'll need a steel framed bandsaw for that. What else do I need to know? Are guides...
Last Post By: Tom Trees Yesterday, 8:51 PMHellos All, I need some help with some window sashes. I am tasked to build some window sashes for an interior partition wall between a pantry and kitchen for a client. I mistakenly offered a shaker profile. However it turns out the cutter set I was planing on using only goes to a max thickness...
Last Post By: Tom M King Today, 1:23 PMThey are going crazy building standalone car washes in my area. I know of at least three currently under construction nearby, and a few others that recently opened. Car washes are going up all over the Minneapolis metro area. There will easily be three times as many standalone car washes once...
Last Post By: Bill Dufour Today, 4:40 PMI'm looking for a nice workbench to get me back into woodworking. I do not have any power tools at this time other than a few handheld tools. I'm not sure making a nice bench is an option. Mostly I just want a place to plane and build stuff by hand to work on my skills until I can afford a full...

Never. If I needed something, I'd buy or rent it. (Votes: 10)
Maybe. Depends on the person and the tool. (Votes: 52)
I air dried 12/4 in PA and it was down to 10% within 2.5 years. Possibly 2 years. After the first 6 months of drying lumber, you kinda forget about it
Patrick Kane Today, 5:05 PMThanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately the nephew's location is some distance from a Woodcraft or Rockler store. The upside is that free shipping
Steve Mathews Today, 5:04 PMI'd be afraid to try heating the entire table, too. Titebond yellow glues lose most of their strength at 150F. Franklin doesn't say how much is lost
John TenEyck Today, 4:47 PMEasy to launder money through a car wash. Just add it to the daily take and claim that many extra washes went through. No extra cost to run a fake wash
