Wow thats a lot of house to trim out. I think making what you need as you need it is the way to go. I need to do some checking into what the best steel is to use. Actually I'll probably make a bow saw first but planes are on the list.
I live in the davenport gold coast. Its the original town for davenport. My house is about 7000 sq feet built in the 1870s. I have lots of molding I need to recreate both inside and out. I looked briefly at getting a odd set of rounds and hollows but, new, they are way out of my price range. I might end up making them.
Forgot to say I have a 45 I got for $40 great shape works good. There is a little learning curve but it beats dados and grooves with a chisel big time. I bought a 55 with all the blades and can use most of them on the 45. The 45 should help me understand the 55. Mark

Mark, Thanks for the link. The Stanly 45 looks awful useful for me, but somewhere in the back of my head, something is telling me my wife has plans for Nov 6th. I have no idea what it is though. I know she would enjoy a day in Des Monies, or at least lunch there. The Quad Cities doesn't have a clue what good food is. I wouldn't mind going over there again just to go to the Woodsmith store.
