  1. . Again, I'd just call it a stain, and in my book it is not pitting. I wouldn't even mention it(and didn't,) but I want to be as forthright and honest as I can by saying that, yes, something is there. It's just that I really don't want to go through the hassle of shipping it to you and you being unhappy with it, and having to take it back. It's up you. I'm an extremely finicky and particular person myself and it is not something I personally would take issue with. Anyways, what do you think? I'll up load another photo of that spot in 10 minutes.

    Best,

    David
  2. Hi Dave,

Yes, that does look an awful lot like pitting in the photo, but it isn't. Or not fully so. I'm looking at it now and it is a stain. It looks like some small amount of something liquid had sat on that part of the plate and discolored it. There's no rust as you can see in the photo. But...there is the faintest, slightest, seeds of what might have some day become pitting if it had sat on there much longer. It isn't perceptible by touch. And there is none of that rough texture that comes with pitting. But there is something there. It's extremely minor and insignificant
  3. David, Im interested in the saw. What am I seeing to the right of the etch in your last picture? It appears to be some pitting, but I know images of reflective surfaces are sometimes tricky.
    Regards
    Dave
