I have not posted anything here on the GGMG for a while.......been really busy and such. Just wondered if anything new or interesting is in the works with any of the group? As for me, i have two things coming up in the near future......... The first is a 3 sided bowl demo at the Virginia Symposium here in a couple of weeks and the second is a candlestick demo at my home club in October. I have also developed a website recently [actually, my input was small, my Son did most of the work] and I have recently put items in the gallery of the Shenandoah Valley Art Center. If you get a chance take a look around the website.........the address is below. www.artisticwoodtreasures.com Whats happening with you guys?
Hey Roger, You have been busy for sure. Congrats on the Art Center Gallery and new website! I went out to SWAT in Waco and picked up a few needed supplies. I was on a very tight budget so I did not get to out of hand or anything. Best tip I picked up was about the Type R sanding disk that do not use velcro and overheat. I'm on the lookout for a few of those to try out. Overall SWAT was very good and well worth the entry fee and drive from Birmingham to Waco. I hope to make it our next year again. I entered a hollow form in their instant gallery. Firts time I have displayed anything anywhere outside of my house and a few pictures here. I'll post a picture of it soon. It's also my first piece to have a buyer... TW
Congrats on the sale, Terry! Hope that is the first of many more! I would like to make it to SWAT one of these years, but time and expense is prohibitive as you know. Perhaps I can persuade my better half to make the national AAW Symposium next year in Pittsburgh..........she would probably get bored after one day! [lol]
