Anybody use a smaller faceplate than what came with the g0766? Say a 3 inch. And if so does it fit without filing the spindle? I haven't had to file my spindle because I'm using a grizzly chuck so I'd like to find a faceplate that doesn't need the spindle filed to fit. I have some blanks that I was going to try my hand at shallow bowls or platters (however they turn out) Sam

I mostly use a 3” face plate with 6 holes. The faceplate that came with my G0800 is a 3”, and the one that came with my G0766 is the 6”. For most applications, I like the smaller size due to the way I like to finish off the bottom of bowls, etc.
