Matt, I got an email from my salesman this morning. I guess they had too many complaints about the carters, so they went back to the euro guides. I honestly don't know enough about guides to tell a difference. Hopefully I like them. Only time will tell. Steve
I recognize that crating! How many replies did you read before placing your order? Re guides. My mm16 (received Jan 2014) came with the carter bearings. Sounded good on the feature list, but seemed like lots of Allen wrenches and not super refined adjustment. Have observed some people wanting to order either the old euro guides or get Laguna guides. In practice, I haven't adjusted my guides too much. I don't keep them super close, and the column travels straight so I don't adjust them for different cut depths. Blade tension seems pretty effective at controlling the cut. Think they switched back to euro guides recently. Not sure you're missing anything and you'd probably be able to do an even trade with someone if you wanted the other Matt
Right now I am in HI, but I am moving to Colorado in June
Steve I saw your post about being interested in a SawStop. I am out of the country until June, but I have a 5HP single phase ICS that I am thinking about selling. I would part with it for around the cost of a PCS if you are interested
