David: Kathy and I are planning to be in Elk Grove this coming Monday for a couple days and want to stop in. Let me know what day/time is suitable for you and see if we can make it happen. David R
Hello, David. I was cleaning out a cabinet in my workshop a few minutes ago and came across a torn-out article saved from a December 1972 Popular Science magazine. " Bonus Shop Tricks You Can Do with a Jointer" by R.J. D Christoforo. I suspect you have access to all your father's articles, but if you would like to have this one I will be happy to mail it to you. That was about the time I got my jointer (an 8" PM), so I was trying to learn all I could about the strange machine. Nowadays there are ample materials, easily found. BTW, a couple of the "tricks" described are too scary for me to try now that I have become better acquainted with potential hazards of this tool. -- David Winer, Bethesda, Maryland davidwiner@verizon.net
Hello David....I went to you site months ago & really like the work that you do. Looks to me like you really know what your doing. Hence the questions in the past & now. When I do frame & panel cabinet doors I've always done them the traditional way with M&T and butting them together...Have you ever cut the corners on the 45? Saw them in a pic done that way on a whole kitchen & it looked pretty good for a different look Can you think of any cons of doing the doors this way.......Jay
